Dublio Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Dublio mobile app. Please read the sections on your videos and on voice cloning; they are the parts that matter most.

Your videos, your responsibility

Dublio is a tool. It has no content of its own, and it does not check what you put into it. Use it only with videos and subtitles you have the right to translate and dub, and never use a cloned or generated voice to make someone appear to say something they did not say, or to deceive anyone.

1. The agreement

Dublio is provided by InceptionApps (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your use of the app is also subject to the rules of the store you installed it from, Google Play or the Apple App Store.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Dublio on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell or redistribute the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction. The third-party software inside the app is licensed under its own terms (section 10).

3. Your videos and your rights

You choose the videos and subtitle files the app works on. We do not host, provide, index or recommend any content. You are responsible for having the rights you need, under copyright and the law where you live, to translate, subtitle, dub, export and share what you prepare. Subtitles, translations and dubs made from someone else’s work may themselves need that person’s permission before you share them.

4. Voice cloning and generated voices

Voice cloning makes the dub’s voice sound like a speaker in the video, using only that same video. A voice is part of a person’s identity, so:

You are responsible for how you use the voices you make with the app.

5. Accuracy of subtitles, translations and voices

Subtitles, translations, the choice of speaker and the voices are produced automatically by AI and can be wrong: words can be misheard, meaning can be lost in translation, lines can be given to the wrong speaker, and a voice can sound unnatural. Check the result before you rely on it or share it.

Do not rely on the app for legal, medical, safety-critical or official translations, or wherever a mistake could cause harm.

6. Your content and your device

Videos, preparations, exported files and settings stay on your device; we neither hold nor back them up. Keeping your own copies is up to you. We are not liable for data lost because a device was lost, reset or broken, or because the app was uninstalled.

Preparing a video takes processing power, memory, storage and battery, and the language files the app downloads can be large. Preparing long videos can take a long time and warm the phone.

7. The free plan and ads

The free plan includes a limited number of preparations each calendar month, for videos or subtitle files up to a set length. A preparation counts when it starts and is not given back if it fails or you cancel it; trying it again or resuming it does not count again, and exporting is free. Starting a free preparation needs an internet connection, so the app can read the current date from a server. The app shows the current limits, how many you have used this month and when they renew. We may change these limits. The count is kept on your device.

On the free plan, ads are supplied by Google AdMob:

We may change whether, where and how often ads are shown. We do not control which ads are served and are not responsible for advertisers’ content or for the sites and apps their ads lead to. How advertising affects your data is described in the privacy policy.

8. Dublio Pro subscription

We do not receive or process your payment details at any point; see the privacy policy.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use Dublio to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, to interfere with the app or its providers, to attempt to get around the free plan’s limits or the purchase or advertising mechanisms, or to extract material from the app for redistribution.

10. Third-party software and services

The app includes software made by others, each under its own licence. Their notices and licence texts are on the open-source licenses page, which the app opens from Settings → About.

The fast translation is provided by Google, and the dub is spoken with your phone’s own voices; their own terms apply to them. Language files are downloaded from the app stores and from file hosts operated by others. Advertising is supplied by Google. We do not control the availability or accuracy of these services.

11. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the app, including features, language files and where they are downloaded from, and we may require you to update to a supported version to keep using it. We do not promise that the app will be available without interruption or free of errors.

12. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, for lost data, or for any claim arising from content you prepared, exported or shared with the app.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it, remembering that this does not cancel a subscription. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page changes when we do, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. Where a change is material we will make it visible in the app.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms go through the contact page.
