Deleting your Dublio data

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Dublio has no account, and no server of ours holds your videos, subtitles or dubs. They are on your phone, so you can delete them yourself. For the little that Google keeps for us, this page says how to ask.

There is no account to delete

Dublio never asked you to register. We hold no user record, no profile and no copy of your videos, subtitles or voices, so nothing on our side is tied to you as a person. The steps below cover the data on your phone and the analytics, crash and advertising data that Google’s services keep.

1. What data exists, and where

DataWhere it livesHeld by us?
Videos and subtitle files you opened Android: where they were on your phone. iPhone: a copy in the app’s storage No
Preparations: subtitles, translations, the dub’s sound, separated speech, speaker clips App storage on your phone No
Exported videos, subtitle files and audio App storage, and wherever you saved or sent them No
Downloaded language files App storage on your phone No
Settings, recent lists and favourites App storage on your phone No
Free-plan counter: free preparations used this month, no identifiers App storage, plus Google’s Block Store on Android and the Keychain on iPhone No
Usage events and crash reports Google Firebase, under a random app instance ID Yes
Advertising identifier (free plan) Your phone’s operating system; used by Google AdMob No
Subscription history Your Google or Apple account No
E-mail you sent us Our mailbox Yes

2. Delete a preparation in the app

In the app, tap the preparation you no longer want and choose Delete. That removes its subtitles, translation, the dub’s sound, separated speech, speaker clips and the files exported from it.

On Android, your original video is not touched: it stays where it was, and you delete it there if you want to.

3. Delete everything at once

Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it removes everything the app stored: preparations, exported files still in the app, downloaded language files, settings, recent lists and favourites, your ad consent choice and, on iPhone, the app’s copies of the videos you opened.

The free-plan counter is the exception. A copy of it is kept outside the app’s storage, in Google’s Block Store on Android and in the Keychain on iPhone, so it can stay after you clear the app’s data or reinstall the app. It holds only how many free preparations were used this month, with no identifiers and nothing about your videos, and it starts again from zero each month.

Phone voices you downloaded for dubbing belong to your phone’s voice settings and are managed there.

4. Files you exported or shared

Videos, subtitle files and audio you saved to your phone or shared go wherever you put them: a folder on your phone, a cloud drive, a chat app. Delete them there.

5. Device backups

If your Android phone’s backup is switched on, a copy of some of the app’s data may be in the backup to your own Google account. Manage or delete it under Google One → Storage → Backups, or under Settings → Google → Backup on your phone. On iPhone, the app keeps its files out of iCloud Backup. The free-plan counter can be part of these backups too: on Android through Google’s Block Store, and on iPhone with the Keychain in an iCloud or encrypted computer backup.

These backups belong to your Google or Apple account. We have no access to them and cannot delete them for you.

6. Analytics and crash reports

Usage events and crash reports are kept by Google Firebase for us, under a random app instance ID, not under your name or e-mail address. They never contain file names, titles, text from your videos or file paths.

7. Advertising identifier

On the free plan, Google AdMob uses your device’s advertising identifier. It belongs to your phone’s operating system, not to the app. Reset or delete it under Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android (on some phones Settings → Google → Ads), or turn off tracking under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iPhone.

8. Subscription history

Pro purchases stay with your Google or Apple account. The app only learns whether a subscription is active, and we keep no purchase records on a server of our own. See your purchases under Google Play → Payments & subscriptions, or on iPhone under Settings → your name → Media & Purchases.

9. Deleting an e-mail you sent us

If you wrote to us, we hold that correspondence. Ask us to delete it and we will, using the contact page. We aim to answer within 30 days.
